We have superb facilities

  • NTU is among the top 25% of UK universities for investment in its facilities.  £200 million has been invested since 2004 (please see the awards list for more information).
  • Every campus has its own library.  The Boots library on the City site houses over half a million books as well as journals and e-journals.
  • IT facilities available 24-hours a day, seven days a week, free.  Wireless Internet connectivity across all campuses.
  • NTU uses a virtual learning environment (NOW), meaning students can access presentations, lecture notes, handouts and  take part in interactive online learning activities.

We promote enterprise and entrepreneurship

  • The Hive is NTU's Centre for Entrepreneurship and Enterprise that supports the creation of new businesses as well as fostering the delivery of entrepreneurship education into the curriculum across the University.
  • 85% of start-up businesses established with the support of The Hive have been trading for at least three years.
  • Since 2001, The Hive at Nottingham Trent University have helped more than 250 start-up companies and more than 70% of those businesses are still trading and prospering today.
  • The businesses that students have built through The Hive have already generated over £21 million, and over 30 or our entrepreneurs have won or reached the finals of major national enterprise competitions since 2006. 

We are changing the world

  • In the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise 74% of our research was considered as internationally recognised with 8% of our research considered world leading. 

We care about the world around us
